Benson Idahosa (11 September 1938 – 12 March 1998), was a Charismatic Pentecostal preacher. He is the founder of Church of God Mission International , Archbishop Benson Idahosa was popularly referred to as the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria.
Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa was a notable man of God in the history of 1980s and 1990s history of Nigeria Pentecostal christianity. He was a mentor to Pastor Chris Oyakilohme of christ embassy, Bishop David Oyedepo, Apostle Sulaiman of Omega ministry, Ayo Orisjafo, the former Christians association of Nigeria chairman and a lot of other prominent pastors in Nigeria Pentecostal christianity today.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa, popularly known as Papa or Ba by his followers, had several influences that helped put Nigerian Christianity on the map. He founded the Church of God Mission International, which has its headquarters in Benin, Nigeria.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa was instrumental to the strong tide of revival in Nigeria christian. He started his ministry and evangelical work at age 24 and by 1971 he had established over six thousand (6000) churches in Nigeria and Ghana.
Let us now look at Archbishop Benson Idahosa’s in his latter years. During his time on earth as a man of God, he ministered in over 130 nations without being invited; he traveled there with his own money. The majority of his foreign ministry was unwelcoming, but he always ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa manifested signs and wonders of healing, boldness, and wealth. To this day, his effort continues to bless our generation.

When Archbishop Benson Idahosa arrived at the building site of Benson ldahosa University after a lengthy travel, it was one of the last miracles that occurred in Benin City before his death.
He was informed that the building materials had finished and he commanded the materials to increase and it was like that. Archbishop Benson Idahosa’s narrative will make you wonder if it’s all made up.
A child fell from a three-story building and crushed his skull on the concrete floor; he had a crack in the skull and his brain was flowing out; the people surrounding him contacted Archbishop Benson Idahosa, who gathered the skull and began to pray in tongues, and the skull was mended together. The boy didn’t visit the hospital again.
The previledges enjoyed by today’s Nigerian pastors, the foundation was laid by Archbishop Benson Idahosa. He was the first to start preaching on television and radio stations, a method that has been adopted by the present generation of pastors in Nigeira. Archbishop Benson Idahosa was truly a blessing. How God Used Archbishop Benson Idahosa To Raise His Dead Mother Back To Life.
He was in America when they informed him that his mother had died. He said, “My mother cannot die because God has not told me.” My mum was fine the last time I checked in with my spirit. If God must take her, He must inform me. Put her in my bed, and I’ll wake her up when I get back.
They inquired, “When are you going to return?” He stated that it will take 10 days. They warned him that she would stink. He insisted on putting her on his bed. It’s my room if she smells it. PLACE HER THERE!
The first miracle occurred for ten days, when the body did not smell. For 10 days, the mother’s color turned from black to ash, and she died.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa however said; He would not coming back until he finished his crusade. When he finished his crusade, he landed in Benin airport, and he said; take me home.
They took him home… when he entered his room, he said; mama, I’m back, stand up and give me water to drink. Mama said; my son, welcome…

The Church in Nigeria lost her voice after the death of the Archbishop. We have a lot of Anointed men in Nigeria, but the Church is yet to have a Voice… Of course there were many prophets in Israel in his days, but Elijah chose to be a Voice to his Generation.
“If I be a Man of God… Let Fire Come…” Why not pray and say; “Lord, make me a voice to my Generation…”
