Joyce Oyedepo Biography

Joyce (in some cases written as “Joys”) Priscilla Oyedepo is the last child and second daughter of Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, the charismatic leader of Living Faith Church (also known as Winners Chapel), and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Faith Abiola Oyedepo. Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is one of Nigeria’s most well-known leaders.

Once she started attending her parents’ school, Faith Academy. She started a gospel music group with a few of her high school classmates, and they participated in multiple gospel events.

Before going to study at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she also sung in the choir at her parents’ church.

She is a Christian author who has written several Christian books released internationally, including “Walking with God”, “The Real You” and “Growing in Faith”.

She founded the team Women of the God Kind, a nonprofit organization, on October 18, 2015, and currently serves as its founder and team leader.

The goal of Women of the God Kind is to help women get closer to Jesus through free annual conventions for women exclusively, bible studies, regular seminars, and online resources unconnected to her father’s ministry.

In addition, she regularly serves as a pastor at conventions and women’s conferences organized by ministries other from Winners Chapel.

On August 22, 2002, Joys Oyedepo got married Abimbola Abodunrin in a religious ceremony at the Covenant University Chapel in Ota, Ogun State.

Joyce shares the same birthday, September 27, with her father, Bishop Oyedepo.

On September 27, 1954, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. In addition to being the Chancellor of Covenant and Landmark Universities in Nigeria, he is the Christian author of over 60 inspirational and motivational books and the founder and general overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel.

He is also known as an outspoken religious leader and the wealthiest pastor in Africa, with a net worth of more than $150 million.

Joyce and her mother Faith Oyedepo look remarkably alike. After marrying David Oyedepo in 1982, the year he founded Winners Chapel, she has worked in the ministry, supporting its growth and development while also finding time to pen multiple books on women’s empowerment, youth, the family, and successful marriages.

She serves as Vice President (Education) of Living Faith Church Worldwide in addition to being a Senior Pastor at Winners Chapel.

Out of her three siblings, Joyce is the youngest. In May 2007, renowned American preacher Kenneth Copeland dedicated her oldest brother, David Oyedepo (Jr.), as a minister at Faith Tabernacle, the Winners Chapel headquarters in Otta.

Her second older sibling, Isaac, was also anointed as a pastor by Kenneth Copeland in May 2007. He previously served as a resident pastor at Winners Chapel International in South Africa before taking up his current role as pastor of Living Faith Church in Abuja.

Her only sister, Love Jesutomi Oyedepo-Ogah, is in charge of Covenant University Consultancy Services. The way Joyce and her only older sister, Love Jesutomi Oyedepo-Ogah, celebrate themselves on social media, even going so far as to call each other best friends, suggests that they have a unique affinity.
