Kierra Sheard Kelly, a chart-topping performing singer, actor, and entrepreneur, and her husband, Jordan Kelly, have announced the birth of their first child, Khloéy-Drew Valencia Kelly. Kierra recounted her journey on Instagram, showing God’s blessing after experiencing two losses and severe hardships. She expressed gratitude to well-wishers for their genuine prayers and love, citing Psalm 127:3 to emphasize the priceless gift of children.
“We are blessed to introduce to you our gift from the Lord, Khloé-Drew Valencia Kelly. Words can’t describe our journey and how God blessed us with our miracle child. After two miscarriages and life altering challenges, God gave us a gift to love and bring Him glory with our testimony. Thanks to so many of you who are congratulating us and covering us with genuine prayer and love. Psalms 127:3 Children are a gift from God; they are his reward,” penned the talented songstress on Instagram.
The joyful announcement follows the singer’s difficult journey through two miscarriages, which brought her close to death after she revealed in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in May.
“I am so excited and blessed to have this opportunity to carry, my prayer, and watch our baby grow,” she says. “I’m most excited about raising a game changer, deeply loving someone, and having the same impact on someone as my mother did on me.” “I believe I’ll be raising one of my best friends!” revealed the Something Has To Break singer.
Kierra also reflected on her incredible journey into being a parent and encouraged others to read her latest children’s book, a faith-filled and colorful novel inspired by her experiences as a young girl. Kierra posted on Instagram, “
