Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, commonly referred to as Pastor Chris, is no longer married to his wife, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome. They separated in 2016, and people have been wondering if Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has found a new wife since then.
Unfortunately, the divorce of Christ Embassy founders, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his ex-wife, Anita Oyakhilome, has been described as a major shock to the globe, ministry, and family.
The notion began to swirl in 2014, when pastor Anita Oyakhilome failed to show up for many church activities. To begin with, the church denied that a divorce was imminent, but not long after that, Pastor Chris stepped out to confirm that he and Anita were planning to divorce.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said that Anita did not share his vision for the church, forcing them to separate ways.
Remember that Pastor Chris launched Christ Embassy in 1987. Later, Anita joined the team, and the two married in 1991. Anita Oyakhilome became more involved in Christ Embassy’s branches in the United Kingdom after that, which required her to base there more frequently.
However, some Christ Embassy members have theorized that the couple’s physical remoteness may have played a factor in their divorce.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s new wife rumors
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, on the other hand, was rumored to have got a new wife following his divorce from Anita Oyakhilome, but he has denied the rumors. He is still single, without a new wife, and we have no information on whether Pastor Anita is remarried or not.
Because she changed her name to “Pastor Anita Schafer,” people began to speculate that she might have remarried. However, she denied that.
Pastor Anita Oyakhilome is currently based in the United Kingdom, where she leads her personal ministry, while Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is still running Christ Embassy, which has an estimated 13 million members globally. They are mostly from Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
Anita Oyakhilome denies rumors about reconciliation
Rumors about a reconciliation with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome had also been circulating after the divorce. However, Anita Oyakhilome put a stop to those in her blog post.
“It has been brought to my attention that there are persistent rumors and misinformation about my marital status being circulated, and I would like to address certain reconciliation rumors with this statement. Further to the formal notification of the dissolution of marriage made by my solicitors earlier this year,” she wrote.
“Please note that this has not changed, and I am no longer a part of Christ Embassy aka Believer’s LoveWorld or any such organization in any capacity. I am reiterating this to ensure that no one is misled by the false rumors or unfounded statements that show up and are spread from time to time on the internet. Any additional statement concerning me will be issued by my solicitors, who are my legal representatives, so please do not be deceived.
Thank you and God bless.
Pastor Anita Schafer formerly Oyakhilome,” she added.

In October of 2018, she got married to her heartthrob Phillip Frimpong, a Ghanaian/Dutch businessman. They were married in a big wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, which was officiated by her father’s friend Pastor Benny Hinn.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was present to celebrate the couple as they were married, but his ex-wife apeared to be absent. However, It has been reported that Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome and Phillip Frimpong later did a small wedding ceremony in London, the United Kingdom, which Anita Oyakhilome was present.
In April 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Arielle Rachelle-Marise, who is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Anita Oyakhilome’s first grandchild.
“So thrilled with boundless joy to welcome my new baby granddaughter, Arielle Rachelle-Marise. Glory to God,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome wrote on the social media platform KingsChat on the day of the birth.
