As far as we are aware, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, better known by his stage as Pastor Chris, is no longer married to Pastor Anita Oyakhilome. Since their divorce in 2016, folks have been inquiring as to whether Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has found himself a new spouse.
Sadly, the news of the divorce between Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, one of the founders of the Christ Embassy, and his ex-wife, Anita Oyakhilome, is regarded as a major shock to the globe, the ministry, and the family.
The rumor that pastor Anita Oyakhilome had missed a number of church functions started to spread in 2014. The church initially denied that a divorce was imminent, but soon after, Pastor Chris appeared to confirm that he and Anita were on the verge of divorcing.
Anita did not share Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s vision for the church, and as a result, their relationship had to end.
Pastor Chris launched Christ Embassy in 1987. Later, Anita joined the team, and the two were wed in 1991. On the other hand, following his divorce from Anita Oyakhilome, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was said to have found a new wife, but he has denied those rumors. He is still unmarried and without a new wife at this time, and we haven’t discovered anything on Pastor Anita’s marital status.
While Pastor Chris Oyakhilome resides in Lagos, Nigeria, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome currently resides in the United Kingdom, where she manages her own ministry. He continues to lead Christ Embassy there, and it has expanded to include an estimated 13 million members all over the world. The majority of them live in Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
Anita Oyakhilome denies rumors about reconciliation
Rumors about a reconciliation with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome had also been circulating after the divorce. However, Anita Oyakhilome put a stop to those in her blog post.
“It has been brought to my attention that there are persistent rumors and misinformation about my marital status being circulated, and I would like to address certain reconciliation rumors with this statement. Further to the formal notification of the dissolution of marriage made by my solicitors earlier this year,” she wrote.
“Please note that this has not changed, and I am no longer a part of Christ Embassy aka Believer’s LoveWorld or any such organization in any capacity. I am reiterating this to ensure that no one is misled by the false rumors or unfounded statements that show up and are spread from time to time on the internet. Any additional statement concerning me will be issued by my solicitors, who are my legal representatives, so please do not be deceived.

Pastor Chris’ ex-wife shuns daughter’s wedding
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his then-wife had two children together: Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome was born in 1993, while Charlene Oyakhilome was welcomed in 1995.
The latter daughter lives a very quiet life, away from media attention, while Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome has joined Christ Embassy. In October of 2018, she got married to her heartthrob Phillip Frimpong, a Ghanaian/Dutch businessman. They were married in a big wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, which was officiated by her father’s friend Pastor Benny Hinn.
Although his ex-wife appeared to be absent, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was there to celebrate the couple’s marriage. Anita Oyakhilome was reportedly present at Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome and Phillip Frimpong’s subsequent intimate wedding ceremony in London, United Kingdom.
In April 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Arielle Rachelle-Marise, who is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Anita Oyakhilome’s first grandchild.
